PayPal Limited - eBay says PayPal no good
 

Got hit with a soft limitation, just invoices and delivery. PayPal confirmed 3 times I can still receive payments while it gets fixed.

But eBay says "I cant accept payments with that PayPal. And to upgrade to verified"

When I click on their upgrade link, PayPal says "already verified"

So PayPal says no problem receiving payments for sure. I will be able to remove this limit I'm sure. If someone buys an eBay item will they stop them before they even get to payment? I tried to call eBay but they do not want that at all I can see. Just no number to call. Found one and it just tells me to piss off and use help pages... Sent an email but By the time they get back to me....

Hey there pod - in the resolution center of your Paypal does it show "X Cannot receive or make payments"?

One way to test is this - have you tried to list on eBay with that paypal ticked off? This has happened to me - but the problem was that my paypal went from limited to limited-unable to receive payments. I think your paypal account is flagged for the process now. Time to get them to lift the limit asap.

When the limit first came down it said "not receive" but I called PayPal immediately and she said no problem and removed it so it says I can receive. And I've called twice again to confirm and all say I can receive for sure 100%

I cant do anything in eBay. edit or add. I even tried to lower a couple prices and it said no go with that paypal. They have all the info for the limit but the sale I got that set off the limit needs to be delivered first. So that's at least a week.

It seems eBay is not communicating with paypal. Its been 24 hours too.

Yes they probably have not updated. Odd, because when you can't receive payments, eBay AUTO blocks. Go figure.

Ya, it seems odd. I mean they throw out limits like they are candy on Halloween so I'm sure I am not the first one to see this. At first i just assumed I needed to wait for the two to communicate. But 24 hours is lots of time.

Guess I will have to wait and see. if someone tries to buy and gets an error hopefully they will contact me and i can send them elsewhere to pay....

Of course they don't want phone calls. With all of their crazy policies and rules - not to mention the inconsistent enforcement - they would need to hire 100,000 customer service reps to take all the calls!

I actually laughed when I called. The message was pretty cold and straight to the point. "Use online help, good bye..."

It says right on the help page they are available by phone and chat. But not a chance could I get either to show... They consider a locked or limited account LOW priority.

So will eBay let a buyer buy with account linked to a limited paypal? ebay is fine.

Will they allow them to buy but not pay? At least that way I can try close the deal outside of PayPal?

Well I can still sell items and receive payment through the PayPal.

But I cant list or edit as eBay says PayPal is no good. What a pain. No idea why the two systems cant seem to communicate properly. I sold and item and it was paid for fine so obviously I can use the PayPal.

Guess I wont be able to list anything until I get the limit released. And that means delivery confirmations and some are overseas... Stupid eBay.
