Limited after applying for PayPal Debit Card.
 

So after 60 days with paypal I was able to apply for paypal debit card. I applied. Denied... wth?? I login to paypal 5 minutes later, limited! They want Photo ID, Proof of Address and SSN. Why are they asking for this? They are giving me 14 days to come up with this info. Thanks guys! Also, why would I be denied for the PayPal debit card? What are other options for me to get my cash?

From what I understand in order to get the debit card they need your SSN anyways. So if that is the case you shouldn't apply for a debit card as that will draw attention to your account.

You cant get the debit card on stealth info. They ask for everything including SSN. If this was a stealth account, you just killed it. If its all real info you will need to supply what they ask for

I have successfully gotten the debit card in the past purely with a photo ID and utility bill. I'm not sure if I told the agent that I didn't have a social or that I was uncomfortable providing it, but one of those worked nearly a year ago.

A year ago you didn't need a SSN. You sound like you screwed up severely.

I forgot to mention this is a legit account, I have sent them all the info they requested, how long should I expect this to disappear and be resolved? Also how can someone be denied a PayPal Debit Card on a legit acct ?

Just looked into applying for PP DC.

3 steps.

1) Get verified (have a vanilla visa and bank acct, both verified)
2) Upgrade account (have a PP business acct)
3) Address

Can't use a PO box, apparently they can only send to billing address of card on file.

Didn't see a need for SSN anywhere.

Gotta figure out address thing now =].

i dealt with this as well recently. I gave them access to my bank account to confirm it, then i removed the bank account, and they needed my SSN number confirmation. I didn't have to deal with photo ID or proof of address. I let about 3 weeks go by and said **** the account because I didn't have any way of giving them proof of SSN (i don't have my card with me here at school, and i havent had a job). So i needed to use my paypal and decided, what the hell and I called them. I told him my situation, he said ok and to hold on, 3 minutse later he said that he verified my SSN and my account limit was taken off. He didn't ask me a single question! Hope this info helps.

There are OTHER ways of getting money outta PP.

I've been transferring to bank account with some success, just thought I would look into debit card option as well.

i only spoke with them because it was a 100% real account that I opened up back in early 2008 for my promotion business.

Huge difference. You guys try and get debit cards on stealth accounts you can kiss the account goodbye. You've been warned
