Do I must provide my ssn to ebay? any other ways to verify?

I had a paypal account for a few years and now got limited. I got the auction stealth and will make a new one soon. but what if paypal ask my ssn again? Are there any other ways to not provide my ssn because the account got limited also has my ssn. Thanks!
