Wife's paypal linked, how? that is just WRONG

My wife's legit PayPal account was linked to my email address some how, all info was different and never used the same computer or internet connection. I am assuming she will never be able to use her account now? This is just wrong. I need any help if possible, thanks in advance :(

kirkie 11-08-2010 01:37 PM

hi. Dont panic. Just take a good look at what they are asking for and supply the info. If its legit then it should be easy. If you cant get it unlimited get the stealth guide and make another account. Good luck

just wondering. Does your wife no about this yet?

rrondo9 11-08-2010 01:40 PM

This is the email they sent her. When I login it shows the account is linked to mine, which is linked to many accounts.

Quote:

"We need your help resolving an issue with your account. To give us time to
work together on this, we've temporarily limited what you can do with your
account until the issue is resolved.

We understand it may be frustrating not to have full access to your PayPal
account. We want to work with you to get your account back to normal as
quickly as possible.

What's the problem?

Your account is linked to a PayPal account that has outstanding issues.
Please resolve the issues with the other account."
This is the message when I login to the account:

Quote:

Why is my account access limited?

Your account access has been limited for the following reason(s):
#

Oct 30, 2010: Your account is linked to a PayPal account that has outstanding issues. Please resolve the issues with the other account.

kirkie 11-08-2010 01:51 PM

Ok. Unless you can resolve all the issues on linked accounts. You have no chance of getting the account(s) back. Even if you do manage to resovle all the issues with linked accounts your not 100% garunteed to get em back. I would just make more stealths if i were you and save yourself the stress. :)

We see this all the time.

The posts say my account was linked to my mother's/wife's/brother's/sister's/friend's/roommate's/whatever.

Is it fair? No, of course not. But that is the way PayPal operates.

The answer here is stealth. But you also need to figure out HOW the accounts were linked so that you can prevent the same thing from happening in the future.

Agree with jeffweico - though it's not fair, i would not waste time following all their ID requests and resolving issues - if you want to take a hard step, you have her call Payp al up.

Sadly - given all the info around this forum - 99% sure this account is finished. Stealth is the way to go from now on - you can change her name a little.

Nothing pp or eb does is fair.

You need to research how they got linked so it wont happen again.

Did you happen to open up a link within an email or something maybe?

Before doing anything I would try to track down how this happened.

I would try to get the account back as you have nothing to lose.

Then get several stealth accounts moving right away.

Someone posted here a while back that they had an account linked to a family member who used their computer to check their ebay sales while visiting. And when the family members account went down for non payment it took their account down with it.

You just have to be very careful with everything you do so you do not lose another account due to linking.

Very well said! jeffweico is correct. You do need to find the source of the link to prevent any linkage in the future. Go Stealth!

Though it is NOT fair, the reality of it all is that we are subject to their rules and regulations. :smash:

The good news is that you can be back to selling and buying whenever you are ready. Everyone within the Forum has been there and done that, if not multiple times. Go Stealth...follow the steps...be patient

Thanks everyone. hopefully in a week i can afford the book and learn how to go stealth. PayPal was beneficial source of income for me :(

Tell your wife to call PayPal and have her tell them that she broke up with you and no longer lives with you and that she has no way of making you resolve the issues with the other account because you won't talk to her.

Not sure if it works, but hey...at least I'm creative. :thumb::bored:

rsot 11-10-2010 05:05 PM

That's a good one - just shoot it out and see if it works - trial and error is great ha
