Limited for negative balance
 

Had my account limited because a guy did a claim because he didn't receive item 4 days later [to the other side of the planet no less]

I was able to stop the package. So no loss. Told him so and told PayPal to do the refund. But they let me have access to the funds after that while they reviewed the case. I did not notice this! I thought it was done, life goes on... But they put the claim money back into account. no idea why.

So by not paying attention 8 days later when they finished the refund it put my account a couple hundred negative. The refund was done, I had no idea I had withdrawn more then I was about to have deducted.... [Why they let me do that is amazing]

Any way, bang I go negative and they limit account. I call PP and explain to them I didn't see any of this coming and I would get the money back in

*I did. account is several 100 plus now.
*Account is still limited
*It says under steps to remove "restore neg balance" and a green check by it

So my part is done.
Also: Account was limited a couple months ago and I supplied all info and it was restored. So a pretty strong account.

So question is, what now? Do I need to call? All the steps [only one] have green check marks. Only issue is negative balance and account is in the black. Will this be lifted automatically? Or do I need to grovel?

i always call paypal,nothing ever gets done by email or through there site.its the only way for me.I also make sure i call itleast 3 times to talk to 3 different people.Youd be shocked at how many times i called and someone said they couldnt restore an acct and id call an hour later and someone else would.

its like cops,some will ticket you for speeding some wont.some paypal employees are tougher then others

I called and no problems. I like calling them, but I just wanted to see if I needed a heads up on anything with an overdrawn limitation. New one fore me....

The staff at PayPal have actually been consistently awesome. I have only had one jerk in last 4 or 5 months [So I cut that one short]. Surprising how friendly they are. They must get a million nasty calls a day. But I guess by being nice to them it goes a long way...
