so fustrated

hi all

i have steam coming out of my ears with anger. i have had an active paypal and ebay account for about 8 months, selling general household stuff i no ,longer want and buying a few bits and bots here and there. as a new user anything i have sold has been held untill positive feedback received. my ebay account has 74 positives never had a dispuite or claim.

on monday i received and email from paypal saying that as i have ran my paypal account well and in accordance to there policies they are removeing the ebay hold (great i though) i sold a router on there last night for 6.50 and sure enough the money went straight in. i emailed them and asked if this hold withdrawal applied to funds in there already (£164) the reply back was that they were going to request the funds to be released.

this morning i entered tracking info for 3 items i had sold and despatched just like i always do. 10 min later i received 20 emails from ebay cancelling transactions and ebay account suspension notice and a paypal limitations notice. i called them.

they wouldnt tell me what the propblem was apart from to say they no longer want my business and they are a bank and can do what they like.

i dont have a clue what is going on or why this has happened

Welcome to the forums and yes, I feel your pain. You can spend a little time trying to find out what went wrong but I feel that I do not have all the info to make a call about your account.

Time to go stealth - read around the forums and pick up the Stealth guide to restart.

All the best.

2 faced monster that is. Both amazon and ebay.

Wish I had something to say on this but a LOT of your details are lacking - what you sell, how you operate, frequency of withdrawing, etc. You would need to provide much more info for me (or other folx I would say) to even make a judgement on pp and eb's call on this.

Hope your business model is sound and you creat new stealth to get going. Looking forward to your contributions.

@pod

of course they had a reason...THEY HATE US ALL. They are just torn between serving us and taking our money!

wjs010 12-02-2010 02:39 AM

They will do every borderline illegal thing they can do ...including using your money for interest...Ebay and Paypal actually love to just limit and suspend anyone they want at anytime, because in their tiny brains, any person should be able to provide them with the information they want, but, usually none of us can..for obvious reasons. Therefore ebay and paypal win. Theres no sense in only having 1 account...you have to spread your money man ..best of luck and go stealth

well what can i say, i have bought items for my car ie parts wipers car mates etc bought a mobile phone couple of xmas presents and half a dozen shirts and my car

i have sold things lying round the house i dont want as im moving, old camera , sat nav, and old printer, and old computer.

only drawn out to my bank probably twice one was £150 the other £165

im not a massive seller or buyer did want to put some appliances on and furniture that i dont want to take with me when i move but not much chance of that now

this is a copy of the email they sent when i asked for appeal and to complain

Dear ,

Thank you for contacting PayPal in relation to your concern.

I checked your account and I can confirm that you provided tracking
number for the remaining payments that are on hold.

However, please be advised that we have completed the review of your
account and we have determined there to be excessive risk involved and
we would like to begin parting ways in a manner that is least disruptive
to your business.

The decision we have made is final and we will not be reopening your
PayPal account.

When such a decision is made, PayPal will hold the funds in your balance
for a period of 180 days in order to protect ourselves against the risk
of reversals and chargeback’s (It is 180 days due to this being the
maximum timeframe that any buyer has to dispute a transaction with their
credit card company, i.e. the maximum amount of time within which funds
could potentially be reversed out of your account).

The £164.73 in your PayPal balance will be available for withdrawal on
29 May 2011.

PayPal regrets that its business model does not meet your requirements
and hopes you can find an online payment processor that better fits with
your needs.

my total ebay purchases £1464.00
my total ebay sales £670.00

thanks

Well with the 180 day hold I say give a quick call...1/50 chance a rep will release the funds. If not...you are stuck waiting. There is no round about with this...sorry.
