Paypal closed account for SELLING LEGIT TICKETS
 

So Im doing a JV with someone where we sell LEGIT lady gaga tickets.

They limited it then closed it when i called because they said the events dont start until after the 60 day dispute time meaning they could be ⊗⊗⊗⊗ and buyer wouldnt be able to do anything.

When asking if I sold tickets with the event within 60 days she didint give me a clear answer.


SO,is it 60 days and not 30 days that the buyer has to make a dispute??

If so im gonna buy a new verified and list again with events starting within the 60 or 30 days

Welcome to the forum. If you're on eb ay, I think the limit for dispute is 45 days.

My guess is that eBay considers this a "pre-sale".

But the truth is, the buyer has 6 months to file a chargeback with their credit card company. So while eBay and PayPal may only allow a dispute to be filed for 45 days (I'm not exactly sure what the time frame is) PayPal could still be left holding the bag if the tickets turned out to be ⊗⊗⊗⊗.

I'm guessing this is why they stopped you.

how do the people that devote their whole ebay account to buying and reselling tickets do it?!!?!?!?


Would they give me any trouble if I waited until closer to the concert date?

They might not give as much trouble if you start closer to the concert date; however, it's eBay and you should expect the unexpected.

better sell them on craiglist or a ticket broker site
