CC verification: Name and address?
 

Hello,

I have a quick question about CC verification. I know paypal verifies the registered address of the card such as the street name and the zip code but do they also verify the name on the card?
As for me I made a stealth account with a stealth name but I would like to use my BOA Debit Card that has my real name on it, but I don't want to give that away...

Any help will be much appreciated!

Name can be anything. Street numbers and zip as you noted are what needs to match. I buy stuff with my real credit cards under different names all the time. Its not used in match

Pod is correct.... but don't use your BOA debit card.... I'd go with a prepaid card. You could also use bank of americas virtual card feature they have with their credit cards.

I believe paypal only checks the street number and zip code when doing AVS. Use a different address than before from your previous account... but if your address was 123 main street, 90210, just make the new address 123 east street, 90210. And make sure it's a real street.

Prepaid is really the way to go... Years and years ago before I knew better, I had to fight to get many funds back from paypal after my debit card was charged. I will never make that mistake again. Unless you plan to use the debit card from the same bank account..... When my paypals go down, I shut down the bank accounts that are attached so they can't get their grubby hands on my money.
