Paypal locked account
 

I got linked to my brothers account, which is negetive, so they closed my account down, i paid that negetive balance off, and they closed my account permanently. this happened about 3 months ago, well recently ive been getting emails from paypal stating why i havent resolved my limitation? is it possible for them to reopen my account or are they just b.s'n me?

really they want you to pay off the negative and then just close your account. sucks, but that is how paypal works. :(. you can try calling and emailing them to see what you can get out of them!

If neither of the accounts owe anything, then I would say contact them. What have you got to lose? All they can say is account stays closed.

But I wouldn't give them money (in terms of paying someone else's bill) on the vague possibility of them re-opening your account. PayPal and eBay are infamous for making it look like all that needs to happen is the balances to be paid and all will be forgiven. It is NEVER forgiven. You give them money, then they email you that they reviewed the account and decided it will stay closed.

I have never known anyone to be banned and then reinstated by paying a balance due UNLESS the ONLY issue was the outstanding balance. Then, MAYBE... Just MAYBE...

i paid them and they didnt reinstate, they had told me those emails were a system error lol that was a waste of time.

I have a stealth ebay and paypal account. i stopped selling like a year ago. so i never opened those account ever because i was in spain during that time. then when i come back from spain and try to sell again. i opened my ebay account, everything looks good. i have 100% feedback and everything is alright there. but then i opened my paypal account and i get a notice that says: "Your paypal account is locked" and then it told me to unlock it i had to call them and have some information ready. like telephone number, etc.

Has anybody been through this?

I need to know whats going to happen if i call and also the phone i registerd with paypal is no longer in service.

They probably did it due to a long time of inactivity on the account

yes probably. so what can i do in this case? create another paypal account? or try to unlock it?

If you have the info of this account, you should consider calling paypal. Explain to them you moved and now are looking forward to using paypal again. :rolleyes:

Yes this happens. Both paypal/ebay understand that people change address, move from one country to another even and phone numbers get changed. IF you are honest with them, if the account is fine without problems, they should help you.
Have all the info at hand: password, DOB, email address, ANYTHING that can prove to them who you are.
Bit of a laugh as paypal locks accounts to protect users ( & themselves)

i called yesterday using gv number using my iphone. (good idea?)
so basically what they told me is that my account was past due for 20 dollars and some change for more than 30 days and they had to locked it.
so then he told me i am going to transfer you to collections so i can pay.

well i said ok. and then while waiting i decided to hang up because i dont have a credit card to pay with my stealth info on. so now i guess i will have to get a vcc to pay that and get my paypal unlocked.

I always used simon.com but many things have changed during my 1 year abscense. so can you tell me if simon still works good with paypal?
