Supplier Info concerns

2 concerns about a recent pay pal limitation.

1. I do not want to burden my supplier with any contact from pay pal. Have you heard of them actually calling or e-mailing your supplier? It is outside of my comfort zone to supply a 3rd party with a address and contact info.

2. It is a rather casual business relationship I have with my suppliers, just requests, and product suggestions back and forth via e-mail and no web forms, invoices, official packing slips ETC. So I am not sure what I should give them for their invoice request portion of the limitation removal processes.

Can anyone confirm or deny if they bothered your suppliers ?

Any other advice on the 2 questions I have?

Thanks in advance for sharing your experience with me.

Yes, they do. You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about and 90% of your posts are less than one sentence long.

Yes, there is a chance they will call and double-check with your supplier, but not 100% of the time.

PP now does call suppliers and check when they have a chance.
Is it 100%? I don't think so.

But it would be wise to be prepared with the mind set that they will.

I just wanted to chime in again and answer your question that yes, they have actually called my suppliers and inquired about sales. Problem is that I sell a limited edition item where one reseller can only get about 10-20 to sell, and I have multiple reseller accounts.

The PP rep asked if it was possible to have 10,000-20,000 of these items in inventory and my supplier said no. My PP account was permanently limited and I'm now waiting out the 6 months.

Hmm, I think it varies on the account.

They didnt call on most of mine. They only called on one. It just depends. There is no definite answer to that. I would be prepared for the call though

Thanks all for the messages.

To my delight I called pay pal and got this fixed on the phone with only about half of the required items sent in. Now I face the task of getting the ebay account reinstated. I have to call them too.

DO you think it will be as easy with them or is the a sign they want to tel me to take my business elswhere due to some unauthorized item violations which I do not intend restock due to all the headachs this has caused.

Thanks

Hi Clay Davis.

Mine sharing how is it done? How did you talked to them and what excuses you gave?

Clay Davis 03-17-2011 01:17 AM

Not as good as I thought I did

I Just didn't lie to them. I let them know I had some buyer complaints and that I have resolved the matters and wished to have the hold removed. I have a long history on that pay pal account and they said this is not typical of my business pattern and removed the hold.

Ebay was not so forgiving. I contacted them once the pay pal limited was released and it sames to have worsened the issue as they now linked me to another account.

Man am I going to feel like a jackass if I get any of my family's accounts shut off since we used to share an address.

It seems I am at their mercy as they have not contacted me for more info.

Anybody know how long the appeal review for a suspension takes?

I am bracing for the worst and am planing for a future without ebay.

So far iOffer's interface is nice but there is not much traffic. I wish Microsoft and Google would team up and build a auction site to rival ebay.

I have read the stealth guide and have tried out a stelath account and it is kind of a pain to operate that way doing everything manually like that.

GreenBean 03-17-2011 01:23 AM

If you have read OUR guide, how did you do that? You would need to be subscribed to do that the right way. Pirate copy from somewhere? :spy:

You need to ask yourself do you really want to use ebay?
first you dont want to give suppliers' info
next you are worried about family accounts (Higthly commendable because business & family seldom mix)
next it's a pain to do something manually
See a pattern? :peace:
