My account is limited with $4000 in it! Help!
 

My PayPal Account has been limited with no chance to withdrawl my money, until I provide all the basic information they ask for. I am using a stealth account and I have no SSN.

The account has been limited with no access to the money.

My question is this.

I have shipped out my items already, mainly costing from 260 usd - 300 usd.
All of my customers are on eBay.Com.Au

Is it smart to contact about 18 customers, and ask them to pay me through a different payment method? Will CCNow be a good way for them to repay me since they accept PayPal?

Will they just run off with my money, keep the product?

What would you do?

I don't want to just give up $4000.

I currently am not allowed to request a check, if I could, I would do that, since my business name is on my bank account, and the check would only have my business name. But that is not an option yet.

IF you need the money THAT badly, you could ask the customers but if you have the sent the items already - it's risky.

I myself would just wait 180 days - damage is done. At least you have proof that you sent it out....right?

Well they are slowly leaving positive feedback. I am shipping international and choose to go with no signature confirmation.

After 180 days they allow release of the money?

Yes after 180 days you get the option of a cheque OR you need to add a different bank account to withdraw the money - cant be one already used on a paypal account though.

i had the same problem and have to wait 180 days for my money, although they told me to call them back in 90 days..if you keep calling once a week and ask they will finally tell you after the last shipment out you made 45 days later you can collect your money...sorry not the best news

They won't find it sneaky that I don't want to provide them proof of identity? Can they block my account with access to the money at all?

Is the 180 days and then you can withdrawl your money a for sure thing?

I was selling cell phones and jumped into an opportunity to get them cheaper than market value. I chose to start selling them on ebay right away, and sold heavily.

Then I ran into this site and saw how I should really run my PayPal.

180 days is along time.

I should also note that the eBay account is under my Dad's name. My Dad had a PayPal account, and got restricted, so I made a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ paypal account, and connected my dad's ebay with the ⊗⊗⊗⊗ paypal.

This is probably why I got limited.

I am really worried. I hope I can get that money back. It was my capital for my small business that I was going to run. :(

That is NO DOUBT why your account got limited,,,Didn't you read the Ebay Stealth Guide?,,,,You WILL Get your money,,,at Worst in 180 days,,,,

But seriously you NEED to Get or RE-Read the Stealth Guide you committed one of the Biggest NO-NO's,,With what you did with those 2 Accounts

Don't go back on eb ay / pa yp al until you have the basics set out for stealth operation.

Dang! I remember my first limitation back in 2004. Honest business moving huge amounts of wholesale clothing. Limited with over $6,000. in it. It was a huge mess. I feel for you, I know what you are going through. I agree with Vitamingal, as soon as the LAST shipment confirms, (Upload EVERY tracking # to EVERY transaction) begin calling PP every week, twice a week even, tell them you refuse to submit SSN, and go from there. Keep bugging them to release your money, and you should be able to withdrawal in the 45 days, as long as everything shows delivered. Good Luck to you!

im not sure if that statement is true...

why do you have to add a new bank account? when my account was limited before i didnt have to add another bank account i just withdrew to the one on there.

that was a while ago but, do you now need to get a new bank account to get your money or can you withdraw it to the bank on there already?

I just got to withdraw my 180 day hold on Tuesday. Sent it to the original bank account I always had on that pp account.

Can't wait for it to post to my bank!!

ya i have about $2100 in paypal on my my 2 limited accounts. 400 in one and 1700 in another = gay

I've never provided proof to Paypal on either of my two accounts, one is Stealth. When they ask for ID on the phone, (beyond the account numbers) I generally will say "don't you have that info on file?" or "Who else would know you flubbed up?" yep it's me!" then I go on to my problem :)

Probably depends upon who you get and how much money is involved. How confident you sound and whether you are friendly. It is just their job to ask. I've never had more than a $1000 in Paypal at once so maybe that helps

Yes they doi, i had that same problem and after 180 days they will shut down your account & put all the money you have in your paypal account in your linked bank accountx
