Please help, Need Advice!

I currently opened a paypal account, received $2000, buyer paid me through paypal and picked up the item. I bought stuff off of Ebay with the money but the buyer put buyer dispute on me since he knew i didnt have tracking info. Now my account is in the negative $2000 and everything I bought has a temporary hold on the sellers side and the seller says they cant ship to me because the funds are on hold. SO now I am left with negative $2000, all sellers have the money but on temporary hold so what happens from here? Advice would be much appreciated. I didnt think paypal could go into someone's account and place a hold on funds that were already sent. Now my account is access limited, what do I do now? Do I still owe $2000 and they keep parts or money, or would I receieve parts and my account still be in the negative? Please help. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum - sad to hear that you have been hit with buyer fraud.

I would recommend shipping something with tracking to him and that might help with that. Funds have not been returned to buyer yet right?

Pa yp al can do ANYTHING with funds that go through their system. Get in touch with your sellers and be clear that you are trying to solve the problem. Be open and forward.

You have buyer's contact info? Get on his case too.

Wow.

I am with Rsot on this.

Ship a box of something to them with a tracking number so you can then place that number in the system.

I never meet with anyone mainly for safety reason but also for this exact reason.

If you ever met with someone have purchase order ready for them to sign "before" you let them have the item. Ask them to sign that you took delivery of the item. If they do not want to sign they do not get the item.

Their signature can be used to show paypal that this person did accept this item in person.

Goodluck.

For future too, either a) don't accept this kind of amounts via Pa yp al (best recommendation) or b) Don't do this kind of pickup - won't hold well with any system.

Yes, I know it sux to be told this but the forum is very enlightened on buyer fraud (Not everyone out there is full of good intentions...here either as a sidenote).
