Adding my Bank account to purchased 6 year old account
 

I have purchased a friends paypal account she has removed her account and I want to add my account and do the verification process will my name show up on the account? I have a brand new American bank account and want a new paypal account to transfer to what should I do?

Add it, as long as it accepts deposits from mismatch names.

They will not see the name on your bank account unless you send a payment to Pa yP al FROM the bank account. But, sending from Pa yP al to bank account is all dandy ;).

Can you please expand/define this?

When you say "send a payment to PP FROM the bank account" do you mean

"deposit money into your PP account from the bank account"

or do you mean

"make a payment for an item through PP using your bank account as a funding source."


Those are 2 very different things and I'd appreciate it if someone could clarify.

THAT is the point - clarified.

Even depositing money from your bank account could generate a RECEIPT.

So both ways CAN show your real info.

Either way, I would never trust funding anything to PP with any bank account.

So if i use my paypal to buy an item on ebay and i use my bank account on my paypal because thats were i have money. They will see my real name ie the name that is assoseated with my suspended accounts.

I too overlooked this little detail. I always left money in pp for such situations. Nothing more then $100. Never really knew exactly why this was a good idea until I read it on the boards.

This is also important if you have automatic payments from pp for eb fees. Better pay early or make sure you have enough in pp to cover that unexpected withdraw. Hence another reason not to link eb fee payments to your paypal. A small $2 fee can get you linked if you don't have the funds in pp.

I have sent many payments to Paypal from my bank and no problems.

Hercules when u send the payments do ur bank accounts have a name on them that are from a account that u were suspended from? Please let me know cus if this is the case all ten of my accounts could be doomed fml.

Paypal can't see what name is on the bank account...period. Since I sent money back to my PP acc many times I believe that may be proof that PP can't see money coming in or out. Or that they don't watch names coming in I don't know.
If I understand right is that you made 10 accounts with the same name on them? But different addresses? Maybe it might work, I never tried it.

no i have ten stealth ebay/paypal accounts and each account has a different stealth name. so ten different names in all. but each paypal has a bank account linked to it each bank account is different but each bank account is in my actual name. and the actual name does not match with the paypal name. but my actual name is linked to my suspended ebay accounts. hope this helps.
