REAL account is limited?WTF
 

filed an unauthorized claim and won it for a payment. look today to find my account is limited. Had 4 things to do, did 3 of them and the last says check email for the instructions YET i dont have an email telling me anything!

i confirmed my card, my phone number for location, email, changed passwords. WTF IS GOING ON!!!!

They want to know who you are and what your doing!

umm ok but why cant i complete the last task? i have no email from them asking me about anything...

Have you contacted pp? If it says check email and you don't have the email then you need to notify them...

i messaged them through their stupid site. only email i got today was telling me i was limited and it didnt have any other instructions.

^ Phone PayPal up and get some answers. Use the phone number on file or any phone number that is not being used with another PP account.

Sometimes those emails end up in junk mail folder...

checked and nothing was there.


my account says when i click the limited details it says:

Your account access has been limited for the following reason(s):

and it shows nothing after the ":"

Yeah, had the same thing on one and it stayed limited after I sent them everything. You can call them and try to out talk them if you have everything correct, but it would probably be easier to just open a new stealth account.

So what do you want us to do for you?? You need to call pp or wait... It's very likely nothing will happen if you just sit and wait...

not sure if i can call them, account is in my mothers name and she doesnt even use the account. she also doesnt speak excellent english.

I had accounts under my mothers name I would call in and give her details and pretend its me. Worked all the time! Give it a shot and you will see. :)

1. You SURE this is from your pa yp al account? There are SCAMS where you get some weird e-mail to your e-mail account and you end up giving all your info to a f*ke pp account.

im not stupid, i dont click links in my emails for websites.

i got an email saying i was limited and i was WTF? go to paypal.com and login and sure enough i was limited. i never give my info out for anyone to hack my accounts.

I always think its funny when people say "its my real account that got limited or suspended" isnt stealth if done right the EXACT thing as a real account according to ebay and paypal? It doesnt matter, if you Mess up an account is an account. In yours, your relative or your unsuspecting neighbors name. LOL.. did I say write last part out loud??

As Sell4More2 says, you should call in - given that you have been solid for 5-6 years, you have a good track history - could be a simple lift.

just an update. woke up today with an email from paypal saying my account has been restored :)

That's solid news - without having to call? just e-mailing? Good stuff.

Congrats at the account being restored. Phone call prob would have been quicke but eh.

no call, it wsnt a serious limit. i think i know what triggered it and they were just checking some stuff out. as long as i got my account back im happy.
