Paypal limited - linked to old accounts ://
 

Hey guys, recently my paypal account was limited due to it being linked with older closed accounts. I had 2 past accounts that got closed for whatever reason, and I assume there is money owed on them. I have had this current account for nearly 2 years now and it is full varified with my real name etc lol ;) My ebay account at the moment is fine (having had 2 of them closed for crazy reasons in the past). I could realllllly do with no having my ebay account closed as thats my main source of income and I'm about to launch a new website (avoiding ebays horrid ways somewhat) but it would prove a really good direction platform to the new site for what I sell.

So I currently have £150 in the paypal account, it's actually cost me sales not being able to offer it on recent listings, and also got me low low end prices on two items when I couldn't offer postage on them as I couldn't offer paypal as an option so I need it sorting.

So on the paypal site it says resolve associated accounts, which I can't do as I can't even log into them, so it's a case of ringing them up and basically holding my hands up I guess :// But when I do that are they gonna be like well you pay us the old fees and everything will be just great you carry on giving us your hard earned money, or right now we're gonna screw you over, this £150's ours, we'll shut your paypal completely and best of all tell our good old sister ebay what the crack is and wave goodbye to that account too :///

Welcome to the forums.

Simply put: ALL ACCOUNTS ARE DEAD. Pa yp al will ask you to resolve old accounts - thank you very much for your $ - then suspend ANY account associated.

Let them go - or pay them off if in your real info.

EITHER WAY, time to go fresh and new. Read around the forums +/- get the stealth guide to learn how to operate stealth accounts.

Again, you are wasting your time if you think pp cares about reinstating your account(s).

If accounts are limited/suspended due to being linked to previously suspended accounts, you have to resolve the issues with these before you get your latest account restored. If this is not possible, it's time to go stealth.

Money in a limited account will be held for 180 days from the day it was first limited. Mad I know!

PP will tell you they will resolve it once you fix things. Once you get up and running again and do any decent business down it will go.

Time to move on as others stated.

You first have to figure out what caused the linking.

why would they let me trade some first then close it?

It really doesn't make sense from what I've read, why when people are giving them custom would they want to stop that. At the end of the day what happens when they ban everyone ;) strange indeed
