Default After 180 days are requirements reset??

Can some please clarify, if your account is limited and they are asking for ssn, bank info, etc, does this disappear after the 180 days or do you still need to submit that info? I am having trouble find the correct answer.

thnx

If the account has been cancelled, nothing can be reset. If paypal told the account holder funds are being held for 180 days, that is the finish. Funds may be withdrawn provided paypal gives that confirmation.

Whatever info was on that account held for 180 days can not be used again on another account.

Is this what you are trying to learn? Your question is rather confusing

Yeah GB is 100% correct your question is a bit confusing but let me add on to what she said, after the 180 days are over you will not be required to upload the information to get the money out of the account you will be able to withdraw, but the account will never be active again unless you upload the requirements.

I always wondered if they just steal the money from the 180 day held accounts, so thanks for answering...
Is there ever a circumstance where they would not let you withdraw and they just keep the funds that happen to be left in there at the time?

Certainly does happen that the funds do not get released even after the 180 days.

Bottom line is that paypal needs to give notice to the account holder the funds will be released.

Under certain circumstances, thousands of dollars have been held even after 180days.

It's a different topic though & makes this thread off topic

Under circumstances of extreme linkage for other accounts oweing money, sure it happens. Just general rule is 180 days and you need an unused bank account. All the best.

ok I should have been more clear... I have an account which is currently limited, although I don't believe it is the 180 day limit (to my knowledge). PP is asking to confirm location, bank info, ssn, etc. I actually have not seen anywhere that I am limited for 180 days in email or in my account. I guess I should have asked if these requirements will ever fall off?

Hi GB,

My pa ypal account just got limited for selling VERO on E bay. This is a 100% stealth account. PP sent me an email that also includes the following statement:

"Per the User Agreement, when PayPal permanently limits an account due to an
Acceptable Use Policy violation, we may hold your funds up to 180 days.
Once the 180-day timeframe has elapsed, PayPal will release any remaining
balance either via bank transfer or issuance of a check."

No bank account is linked to the paypal account at this time. There is about $1,400.00 in this account. My question is would they let me add a bank account after 180 days or they only mail checks at that point if no bank account existed at the time of the limitation.?

Thanks in advance for any help/other suggestions

I had a few accounts limited for over 180 days, and then when I went to withdraw the funds.. they cancelled the withdrawal. It took me months to get them to unlock the accounts. Persistent polite but threatening emails seemed to work.

I set up a child account with the account that was held for 180 days. Will that money be released at the same time as the main account?
