| Elisek | 06-27-2011 09:46 AM | Could this work? I wish I could pick up the Stealth Guide but I actually have no money. Zilch. Any money I used to make from eBay was given to my parents for their mortgage. I have no other job as I have serious autoimmune diseases but too much pride to be on benefits!
However, I have read through tons of threads and, hopefully, have picked up a bit of info. I'm looking to create a new PayPal and eBay account. Will sell little and often on eBay, I won't go mad. It's PayPal I really care about.
Could this work?:
1. New name (my middle name, ⊗⊗⊗⊗ last name)
2. My Grandmother's address (never associated with eb/pp)
3. My IP address seemed to change when I rebooted my router so I assume it's ok.
4. A new User Profile on Windows. (I use "site admin" at the moment and don't have to log in when I start my laptop, but I can easily create a new profile)
5. Hopefully, a Halifax Easycash Account this week.
The only thing I'm stuck on is a landline phone number for verification. I would ask my grandmother to answer the phone and tell me the code(s), but she's extremely fragile and all of this will panic her and I don't want to do that to her :pout:
Could this work? Am I totally getting this wrong?
Also, stupid question but assuming I pull it off somehow, is any of it illegal and could I get in legal trouble? Because it's not worth that risk, in my opinion.
Suggestions/Amendments? Thanks! :) |
| jjjia | 06-27-2011 10:25 AM | you need a new bank account, and use ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name for paypal...paypal will say you must use name as per your bank account, i can say in most case 99% paypal wont be able to retrieve your information from the bank. having said that, it is ok to use ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name for paypal, but there is a possibility that paypal may know your name used in bank account if you withdraw money from bank account to paypal, so dont do that.
with new ip and new user account, fresh paypal and ebay, you should be good to go. just make sure everything is new like you are totally a new person |

/ is this why peoples accounts get limited (stealth accounts, when they try to withdraw?) |
I understand it's tough times for you Elisek and tough times for a lot of folx (me too).
Trialpay is a solid alternative to getting the guide without having to buy it outright.
All your questions have been addressed - as long as you are FRESH and CLEAN of old accounts in every way, you should be ok.
All the best.

| bj355 | 06-27-2011 12:17 PM | Use trialpay. I got it done in 10 minutes with stamps.com |
| Elisek | 06-27-2011 01:42 PM | Thank you jjjia and everyone for the replies.
So, if my new name, ip, address, bank is in place, I should be good to go. Any thoughts on the landline phone number? They used to accept mobiles, don't know if they still do but they have mine on record anyway so that's not good. Could use a family members one?
But if it has to be a landline...How about a "ghost number" that redirects calls to your existing landline? Would eBay pick up on that? |
@smellybelly, when you send funds from your bank to pa yp al, a receipt is generating - think of it as XXX sending money receipt.
If pa yp al wants to see the receipt, XXX will be shown as sender - so if XXX and name of pp account does not match up...you can imagine the rest.
@Elisek, a number that redirects calls to your phone is an integral part of stealth. You just have to make sure that the number has not been used before. Mobile numbers still work - for North Am at least I know so I am pretty sure UK too. |
| stealthmaster | 06-27-2011 07:01 PM | I can confirm using a "Mobile" number is allowed for UK users. |
| jjjia | 06-27-2011 08:40 PM | just make sure the mobile number has never been in ebay and pp system before, or you will need a new number like a prepaid one |
