PayPal limited after sending proof of ID
 

A few months a go I was forced to set up a stealth paypal account. After recently reaching the £1,900 limit paypal asked me to send some proof of address and proof of identification. I scanned these items and doctored the parts that need doing so that they matched my account details. A few days after sending these details off I log into Paypal and my account has been limited :>. ANY HELP GUYS?!! :hail:

Docs not good enough? Security codes not matching the information displayed? Linked in some way?

Call them up and have an agent unblock your file.

Can you please explain what you mean by security codes not matching? The documents I photoshoped, I believe, looked spot on so cannot see why they wouldn't have accepted the,. I have been careful to not link this account to my old one so don't believe that was the issue.

Cheers for the advise. However, I'm not really sure how I can fight my corner and get an agent to unblock my account. I've sent them false details and I presume they know this so why would they unblock it?

All documents have a code on them - a really long number that anyone who handles documents knows has to match the information on the document. It's no good just altering the name, address and DOB. The machine readable bit needs to change as well.

I did my own docs in photoshop (I thought they looked legit). As you can see from my status I am only a Junior Member and so am still learning a lot and so was unaware I had to change the document codes. Any help one how this can be done? Thanks =)

I'm afraid we do not discuss PS or it's uses on open forums. That's for subscribers discussions or PMs. I'm guessing you got it wrong. You really need to get hold of the guide and some access to the experts. You can only get so much from an open forum
