Paypal still limited - What do you think is likely to happen??
 

My paypal account is still limited - I'm now waiting for credits to my bank account and credit card so I can verify this info on paypal. Not too sure yet whether the info I uploaded yesterday regarding ID & address verification will be accepted.

In the meantime, I had an iphone for sale on ebay which someone bought and before I had a chance to change the paypal payment address, someone bought it and sent funds to the account which has been limited. On top of that, I bought a new mobile phone and paid via credit card. The funds have been debited from my credit card account but paypal have now put them on hold.

What do you reckon is likely to happen? What could be the worst case scenario ?? I have had to email the seller of the new mobile I bought to keep her updated as I don't want her selling the phone to the next bidder!

When docs have been updated to paypal, how much checking goes on to make sure the docs are real etc or is it just some muppet looking at the images on the screen and decides whether they are acceptable or not???

If PayPal do not accept your 'stealth' docs then, as you probably know, it will be the 180 day wait before you can withdraw your PayPal balance.

Seeming as you have sent the docs in, best to wait, let us know how it turns out.

On the docs, are they 'stealth' doc?

Can't say to much in the open forum, but I am always interested to know this kind of info, seeming as this is the biggest factor here.

Stealth docs...

The afternoon after submitting all the docs, I received a pile of emails from Paypal.

One of them said after review of your account we have decided to close it.
Another said Paypal Appeal denied.
Another one said I need to upload further info.
Another one said I need to verify & add bank details to paypal as the one I did was returned as apparently the account number doesn't exist ----- this is bull because the 2 credits paypal makes came through this morning to my bank account and I was able to verify my account - but looking at my paypal details, the account has now disappeared from paypal!

Haven't a clue what is going on...

Pa yp al denied is the killer. Call them up for one last hail mary but otherwise - new account time sadly.

what happens if i've made a purchase for something via credit card though - where does that money go?? the seller hasn't received it yet but its showing as debited from my credit card the day i was limited

That payment is probably in limbo for now - will be refunded. This happened to me once - I called up pa yp al and transaction was reversed. Funds went back into my pp account.

Damn... I wanted them to go back into the credit card... PP is alreayd holding £140... and this new amount will bring that up to £300 which is being held...

Don't think there is anything the credit card company can do about it is there??

Sure - file a chargeback with your cc company if you truly want to.
