Will you get limited if another account send you a huge amount of money?
 

i was just curious because a family member was going to send me money with a cheque but they also own a paypal account would this limit my account if they end up sending me money constantly like a month to month basis at about 500$ 1000$ dollars

i personally would not use paypal for anything other than ebay. why not just get a prepaid debit card and have them put the money on there. or open a bank account at a bank that has a branch near you and them, in both your names, and have them deposit the money at their branch?

way better than giving paypal the opportunity to steal more from you

TBH, if you asked this the same time last year, I would say do it.

Now, I would say do not expose the family account to the whims of paypal.

As a background, I use paypal for several charities. All the charities are above board, all are correctly handled. On 4 different occasions, paypal held payments.
Now this was a paypal account that has had a heck of a lot of funds go thro' it.
Funds from the UK, US & Australia. Regardless they held payments.

Was there a problem with the other paypals which caused it? Hardly, one was my partner's one & we were testing them. The others were from friends that we knew. All varying amounts & a chance to speak to paypal. Made me sick to prove everything was kosher.:mad2:

So if you can avoid them, please do so.
