Paypal Closed My Account After 5 Minutes Of Registering! - ING may be a DEAD END now
 

this is insanity! i changed my ip, deleted cookies, registered for new accts, bought a simon gift card, opened an ING account and did everything i was supposed to. all the names were in sync except for the name on the ING account which i had to open with my personal checking account of course, but im under the assumption that paypal cant see the name there. i opened the new paypal account and linked it to my ING account. now i get this email FIVE FREAKIN MINUTES after i open the account

"As part of our security measures, we regularly screen activity in thePayPal system. During a recent screening, we noticed an issue regardingyour account. Our system detected an unusual use of funds from a bank account linked toyour PayPal account.
For your protection, we have limited access to your account untiladditional security measures can be completed. We apologize for anyinconvenience this may cause."

i need to verify the bank account which i can do, enter a CC which i can do, and enter a ss# WHICH I CANT! what the hell do i do? just leave it for dead and try again? am i just a victim of the 5 minutes random slaughter?

Thanks for taking the time to reply Modee. i created the bank account with ING online last week and completed verification online today. I didnt even get a chance for paypal to deposit those 2 small amounts into my bank before they suspended me (deposits still pending and then they suspended me after 5 minutes!).

Does this mean that i should just try again? Am i totally lost on this account?

how do i avoid this if i decide to open another account???

thanks for the reply modee. guess ill just have to try again as i possibly was part of the random victim slashing by paypal.

modee, what is with the ebay/paypal accounts you have? can you PM me with some more info on that? thanks

I have 2 ING accounts tied-in w/pp and no problems. These are not brand new ING accounts but approx. 6-weeks old. Not sure if this is an ING routing problem.

so if i want to use another bank account, is there another alternative? simon is great for a credit card, but is there an online bank that i can just enter my info at and get a real, actual working savings or checking account/routing number with?

Yeah you might want to call them and ask, that is if you want to keep this account going, if not start fresh, its probably not the ING bank, as eBay even has ING banners on their website..

Just create a second savings account with ING, select to add one to your account and use that for another Paypal account. Easy.

That's why I love ING.

The same thing happened to me yesterday. I created a new Paypal acct with a VCC and an ING acct. It was limited in about 5-10 minutes. So I tried again from a different IP after running several cleaning programs. Different VCC and a brand new ING acct. It was limited again almost immediately. So to try to isolate the problem I created a new Paypal acct with all new matching info but only used a new ING acct and no VCC. Limited in 10 minutes! So just to make sure I created a 4th acct with a different bank acct and so far no problems. So looks to me like ING may be a problem now. Each account had unique matching info and ip address. I have older Paypal accts created with ING and they are still up and running.

Don't use ING anymore. It is exposed.

ING bought Netbank. Netbank was banned on Paypal for years.

Now, as soon as you enter the routing number for ING, Paypal requests your SS#.

End of story.

Yes same thing happened to me on 2 accounts a couple days ago with ING accounts. ING no longer works with paypal.

I agree ,I have a new Paypal account, using it a couple weeks and took out no $ from it.
As soon as i attached a brand new ING account,bam limited,they wanted my SS #.
Am now calling Paypal everyday jumping through hoops to try and get my $300 unlimited.
I gave them idenitity theft bull**** story to try an avoid SS#.

ok so we've determind that ING is no longer valid with paypal since they are linked with netbank and just a dead end. if any mod can make that change on the stickys that would help alot of new users.

Just opened an ac w/Wamu & had it verified w/pp...no problems...went very smoothly.

can you do that online like with ING? and you get an immediate account number?

Lol, Paypal is getting ridiculous.. They're blocking certain bank accounts now? How convenient...
