Brand new here and you claim you are doing everything by the book? Hmmm.

Is that 'our' book?

What i noticed is if you recently set up the account try to use it it will probably get you limited. Slowly but surely add a bank account or credit card and if your making a purchase make sure its small and discreet. Also if you used the same address from another account that could be the reason.

Merevial is correct - you need to go slow and steady. @OP, did you start selling right away?

Ayusaga 01-04-2012 06:27 PM

Well, you can start selling right away, that's not a problem, but it depends on what you start selling. Do not go that route though since you're having these problems. It's definitely possible to create a seller's account and list an item the SAME DAY that you make the account without being limited. But you have to be skilled with making accounts to get through that seamlessly.

Hang on - I keep seeing this across the board.

Everything depends on how you set up your account. Act in a professional manner and you will be treated in a professional manner. Act like a cheapskate - cheap telephone numbers, free email addresses, cheap VPN, cheap VPS and you will be treated accordingly

Treat EB and PP like a business and you will succeed - treat it as just another cheap venue to dump foo-foo and vero and you will get shafted

It aint rocket science!!

Get with the programme, don't try to do everything on the cheap and you will make money - listen to people like jbluntz - they list from the get go

:boink:

I like your direct but no nonsense approach GT.:brushteeth:

Merevial 01-05-2012 02:17 AM

Nicely put GT. That post inspired me to tighten up my eBay practices.

Great post as always GT ;)

Is it me or has everyone missed that the OP said "he made a purchase" instead of "he sold something"???
