VCC Problems...
 

Hi Everyone,
I've recently created new ebay + paypal accounts. I used an entropay
card for the pp registration, waited a few days, entered the expuse number,
and all seemed to be fine.
Today, I attempted to add bank (VMI) details, and received an error stating
that I cannot add bank details whilst limited, though I had received no email,
and there were no issues showing on the account. A few hours later I
received the limitation notice. So, they wanted me to complete 4 steps to
unlimit the account, change password, change security questions,
add another CC, and add bank details. Done the first two, and tried to add
another entropay card, only to receive an error stating that I cannot add
this card, as the issuer
does not support checking of address details, or something to that effect.
So I'm guessing that's why it was limited in he first place.
Is this new ? Are there any VCC's that will be accepted now ?
Should I abandon this account or try to get it back ?
And last but not least, even though my bank details were not accepted,
are they now saved, so that I can't use them on an other account ?

Sorry if this has been discussed, as I seem to recall reading something
about vcc's and address checking, but I searched and couldn't find it.

Mostly likely if you entered your banking details and they were denied, it's in Paypal's system now and won't work for another account.

About the VCC, I haven't heard much about them not being accepted. I could just be the entropay card. Have you tried simon.com ?

I'm in the UK (although registering with US details on ebay.com) so dunno
if I could get a simon giftcard ? and never fancied waiting on one in the mail
when I can get a vcc instantly elsewhere. Ofcourse that's kinda irrelevant
if they dont work.. :p

So do you think the account was limited before I tried to enter the bank details ?
I hadn't received the notice yet, but it could have just been bad timing.
I'm thinking if I'm getting a 'cannot confirm address' error now, they already noticed
that first time round and that's why it's limited.
