Paypal account limited, payment hold

Hello :*

First: My ebay account is 1 month old, I sold a collectors item about 3 days ago. The buyer paid today, I shipped it a few hours ago and then I purchased something with the funds.

When I tried to send the payment to the seller, however, PayPal put a limitation on my account.

Also, the seller cannot receive the payment because PayPal is holding the money I owe the seller for the auction. They have limited my account, and have provided no way for me to remove the limitation. This is a huge problem! My paypal account is new (1 month old), verified with credit card and everything was fine before I received the payment from my 1st buyer.

Does somebody know what happened and how I can avoid this next time? This never happened before.

is it bank verified account?

maybe they think you are a new account and are cashing out by either sending money to yourself or buying with it too soon.

or maybe you have been linked to banned account? seems odd that it was triggered by this transaction.

if it is an issue with transaction, sometimes they ask the seller questions not you.

are you sure they have they requested no further info from you to restore?

this raised a red flag with paypal. they think that you are withdrawing the money too soon IMHO.
Try waiting a little more time

Rough to hear - how much money did you try sending?

halloweenlady 03-14-2012 05:56 AM

I tried to send approx. 149,00 EUR through ebay.

I got a message that I'm not able to send funds now and I should
turn back to the shop and use a different payment method.

I logged in my paypal account and everything was fine.

So I tried again and was able to pay and I was happy.

After 10 minutes, they limited my account and they are holding
my funds and the 149,00 EUR from the ebay seller.

I found out that the owner of the credit card (my husband) is not the same
as the paypal account owner (me). I think this is the problem...
I never had this problem before. Paypal s****.

The fact that the payment went through shows that the card was accepted - is it possible that your husband has used the card before for a pp purchase in the past? You seem to have triggered an auto-limit message.

No, it's a brand new credit card, he never used it before.

It's so silly, they are still holding the funds. :tears:

Call them and ask what the problem is if you have the capacity to call. If you think its not worth it then forget it. Paypal triggers that automessage for alot of buyers just google it and you will see tons of people get this message.
