Paypal limited just found out
 

Hi Guys and Gals and GreenBean[;)] My Steatlh paypal was limited on May 10, 2012 and I just found out today. I sent in some "stuff" as "proof" of photo id, utility bill, and ssn. now im waiting as my account review says "In Progress" but the questions I would like to know the answers to is.

1) how long do I have to wait?

2) and should I call paypal?

Every one I know hat did they they got the "we received all the documents and decided to not to overturn the limitation" bogus response

Wait at least 2-3 days and up to 7 I have seen.

I would not call at this point.

Hope you have backups because waiting 25 days to answer them did not help your cause much.

Thanks for all the great responses guys and gals...i'm thinking of just waiting a week and if the account is still not back to normal I will call and see but either way i'm prepared to move on to a new account sadly :(

I would say go ahead and call in. Somone will eventually look at the ID and SSN you provided anyways. If they look shady, you won't get the limit lifted. If they are good to go, you most likely will. Why not give them a call and see what they can do? Just make sure you have all of the account details in front of you to fire off any personal info questions they ask you to verify your identity.

Only problem I have sometimes is if I make an account in a girls name, since I'm a guy :shocked: Its tough explaining that one to Paypal when you need to call in!

I disagree. You should call. From the hundreds of accounts i've had i ALWAYS ring in, as i get much better success rates over the phone (but maybe i am a good bull****ter).

Being an excellent Bulls***ter is an art, I think it's something we all should learn. I've done it successfully with paypal a few times.

Just wait and see. Just work around your other account while this one is getting sorted

gotta get creative with them, i use several techniques to swing things in my favour

I am thinking of going that route or just paying someone to create the docs for me as I am usually pressed for time. I have a new stealth account that so far so good so I will work with it for now and go back to the other one later.

For me learning how to do this has been a nightmare. Not being techie at all and not having the extra time to learn much about doing it.

I have done it and it was sloppy as heck and it still worked.

If I can do it so can others.
