Limited Account - Help on Refund?

I had my paypal account limited in the middle of June and whilst I finished up most of my business I still have to provide a refund to a user.

Well my account is officially limited now, I cannot even send refunds(as it says). Currently I have most of the money in my paypal frozen that would provide for the refund.

However to solve this issue quick and properly(to the buyer) I would like to send him a refund from another paypal account or send a money order. Obviously I believe if I send him a refund from the other account more than likely that will be cross reference then I risk losing that account. If i send a money order the proof of delivery is risky, plus this will not be tracked in paypal necessarily.

I am thinking of taking this route since I have a deadline to refund the buyer by(July 6th). I was just about to let the time run out, probably have paypal yank the refund money from my account(since under the dispute the buyer requested a refund), thus putting me in the negative balance, then from there I can still "add funds from bank account" in which I can zero out my negative balance on paypal then be cleared of any money owed, then all I have is a 0.00 balance and a Limited account.

Sound plausible?

Speak to that customer.

Tell him that you cant use your account at the moment , but will ask a friend to send him the amount that needs to be refunded.

Then pay him just a littlebit more. $1.12 more for example.

This way the amount cant be crossrefrenced.

But even if you did just the original amount nothing would have happened.

 Why risk a friend's account like that.

Not a good idea to involve another party

I did not mean actual friend.

I meant use your another account , but in order for paypal and customer not to understand that its you, tell the customer that its a friend. When in reality its your other account.

No, we never recommend that.

Yea I let it go and its "awaiting other party's response". So once he confirms he wants a refund they should pull it from my account.

I was going to do that to prioritize the refund for him but involving another account would raise red flags all over.

Plus ebay was wanting to do a automatic refund right on ebay, where I click
"respond" then it says "confirm refund" then it tries to go to paypal right away but since my paypal is limited it shows an error message.

Only thing my ebay account it going to get a "case" closed against it but I dont use ebay anymore because of this so its no loss....cant use paypal to pay for anything.

I know you are trying to do right thing, but tell buyer to put in dispute and apologise. You can first try and message paypal many times to send the money to buyer, but they are thick and sometimes do not ...

if you then go in to neg balance you can choose if you want to pay paypal back via check...

do not pay buyer from elsewhere, no need, plus buyer might get efund twice that way anyhow....

Yep thats what the buyer did thru ebay, it escalated to a dispute and the money has been pulled. Thank god :thumb:

I should be able to add funds to cover the negative balance, thats one thing im still able to do under my limited status.

Keep any problems you have within that said account period.

Never involved any other account or anyone elses account to fix it.
