How To Close A wamu Account?
 

ok so here is the thing, paypal limited me again. so the wamu account im using is worthless, i tried to open a new account and it says *we are sorry, you cannot open a new account at this time. please visit a wamu near you!*
so of course i dont WANT to go to a wamu near me if i dont GOT too, hell i dont even know where i got one around here, so. i thought maybe i got to many accounts open IN my wamu account, maybe i need to close some
so i asked them, (how do i close an account, i got to many i want to close some) and they send me back a list of text that would take a week to read, no matter tho, i read it anyway and ill be dammed if i still dont understand what they want me to do! so has anyone else had to deal with this before? what do they want you to do?
i cant use ING either cause it seems once the account is limited on that bank account even if you do open more accounts they wont let you add them as a bank either cause *that bank account has been limited already so you cant use it*
this stuff is getting really old really quickly

I believe their main branches are in Newyork and New jersey

You can easily close the account by writing a letter and requesting they mail you the balance. Of course they will only mail the check to the address used to sign up and the check will be made payable to the account owner. They also may check the signature card against the letter you send.

But that shouldn't be a problem, right?

i tried to call them like 5 times today, everytime i called they hung up on me cause there phone service is messed up or something, got a loud beeping noise in my ear, so ill try to mail them and ask them to do that later
i never seem to have good luck calling banks or stores about anything o_o

Apparently WaMu customer service isn't the best. :(

It's time to move to another online banking, have you tried HSBCdirect.com which is international or even citidirect.com?

Citibank is the best in my eyes. My dad has been banking there for a while now and they have very friendly and helpful phone help.
