Paypal Limited my stealth account & held $1500!
 

I am very sad. I have been selling for several months on ebay & finaly when I had $1500 in my paypal, I try to withdrawl to my netspend account.

Then they limited the account asking for , SSN, business info, recipets, address verfication, supplier information, everything you can imgine, even when I click to verfiy some info like upload recipes, the website gives back an error, its like they are doing this on purpose.

now since this is a stealth accont, i cant provide ssn. They have not sent me an email or anything saying that they will release my money with in 180 days, they just sent me email saying ok your account is limited & until you provide the information requested, your account will stay limited,.

I emailed them, told them am not going to provide the information, I opened BBB report, they responded back saying that since my account is new, its risky & they wont release any funds until the requested information is givin to paypal.

Now my question , can they take the money or not release it to me even after 180days? , I have been working hard trying to save every penny to put my kids to collage & they stole every penny. Please help me, what should I do?

Unfortunately, you might have to wait out the 180 days if you do not want to provide the information. (I understand why you don't)
You could try calling them to release the money in about 45 days if you have not claims/charge backs)

I would give them a call and ask them what you could provide as an alternative to the SSN.

You should wait for others to give a response to it.

Most likely they will release the money after 180 days. I assume you tried to withdraw all the money at once? Never do that..

I guess you did all this before asking the forum to help you? Pity you have made yourself upset then. Silly move filing a BBB report. Should have avoided

Email paypal again. Say I refer to my last email of .......(whatever date).

As stated I do not wish to comply with your request.

Kindly confirm as soon as possible what you intend to do with my funds.

I look forward to your reply by close of business 12/12/2012. Further action will be consider if necessary.

What you need now is the confirmation of the 180 (permanent) limitation. Options exist once that is in writing from paypal ( depending on their reply).

For the future, learn how to make accounts correctly. Never ,ever ,ever let paypal have more than an amount of money you can afford to no have in your own wallet.

In this day & age, that is about $10.

Thanks to everyone who responded. So you guys think I have a good chance of paypal releasing my money after 180days even if I dont provide them with the informtion they requested?
@ Mr. Greenbeans : Yes I already contacted them & informed them that am not going to provide them with the information they requested and am awaiting responce. I will post responce back here.

but ya, youll get you money no matter what in 180 days. Sometimes its a little bit longer, but youll get it even if you dont provide that info.

never ever ever withdrawal all your money at once with paypal.

None of us here should say anything either way.

You have not provided any info other than it was a stealth account with $1500 held. No talk of conduct or anything

No other details have been offered.

Not fair to ask for thoughts on what is unknown.
