I'm Top Rated Seller and had my PayPal linked w/ 7 year old PP acct
 

About 7 years ago I had ebay/paypal and those accounts were limited due to negative balance...

a lot of time has passed and I opened a new paypal account about 1 year ago. I bought and sold about $10,000 per year w/o any issue.

out of the blue my account was limited because "one or more pieces of personal info links you to another PP acct w/ negative balance."

I have to wonder how the 2 accounts became linked. The only piece of info that was the same was my last name. EVERYTHING ELSE was different.

I haven't logged into the old ebay/paypal for 7 years.

How were my accounts linked ?

Can I call and say the old paypal isn't legally collectable because it is passed statue of limitations ?

Well the fact is that you are linked now. How? This is the question. Did you use your last name on a new account only? Sometimes people think that only options to link you are name, last name and address. Thay are WRONG! So firstly I would recommend to recheck info again.

And it is a big mistake to leave account with negative balance. :rip:
