PayPal needs me to verify my home/mobile number!

Hello!

Recently joined this forum since I encountered this issue.

It seems like I need to verify my account by giving PayPal a phone number, and then verify it by pressing a 4 digit code on my keypad.

The current address registered on the account is based in Alaska, I tried adding a New York number, but from an automatic check, PayPal didn't accept this since it wasn't based in Alaska!

Can I bypass this somehow?

Is this happening when you are trying to buy something?

From experience that I've recently had with this I just had to call then and explain the area code difference. I just made up that I used to live wherever the number is registered and never updated my phone #. They accepted that and I haven't had it pop just since

Part of your issues might be related to the IP being used.

This is common now anytime you try to send money or make a purchase right after your funds become available, I've dealt with this on over 100 accounts, just try back in a few days it eventually goes away..

@Dailo, what are your source of funds? Are you trying to use funds that you got from a purchases? If so, likely the hold is not off.

I managed to solve the issue! I still have one last question about PP accounts in general.
Assume I want to change my e-mail account or change password/security question, for that to happen I need to give them my full BA number.. but i've forget what my stealth BA nr. is.

The account is limited, but I can still add another VBA if I want. The question then is, will this newly added VBA be my primary account?

Care to explain how you solved the issue? Could be a good learn point.

If you add another VBA - and you can to a limited account, you jsut cant withdraw YET - you can verify it and make it primary.
