paypal got my ssn without me entering it?
 

i got hit with the SSN question on my account (legit account, not stealth) and i havent inputed it in yet, but i get a green check mark on top "We've received your Social Security Number. We'll confirm it soon." weird??

Maybe they phoned your house and your girlfriend gave it to 'em :p

As far as I know Paypal is not asking anymore for personal information on the phone (not sure though) especially if they are the ones that are calling (not you calling them)

Go to Profile in your paypal account, scroll down, you will find SSN ad EIN, check if they have your SSN on file or not. maybe it is just a glitch

i think i glitched the system by changing my account from premier to business while they are asking for my ssn...

Could be another trick by paypal.

They are well known to lie and make you believe something to get further info.

Be careful and check to see if it is showing xxxxxxxxx.

Dont let them fool you into thinking you did and have you confirm etc.

Not just weird.

But potentially problematic.

Triple check for the existence or otherwise of an SSN attached to your account.

You need to watch this on case this is a real snafu & ID issues.

Be very very careful. Make sure this is a glitch. Avoid problems.

It is quite possible. Also, never assume that you are free and clear though - could just be temporary
