Paypal limited-ebay up -ebay told me this!

So I had a new ebay account 3 weeks old and my paypal got limited from a past account 3 yrs ago.. i called ebay and asked if i remove the link and change all my info on ebay name/address/phone/email etc if my account would be ok.. they said if im strictly buying it should be ok...

has anyone had a limited paypal account and then linked a new pp account to their ebay and had no issues... or vice versa?

let me know
thx

Potential disaster - I have experimented with this for the FUN of it on old accounts.

Sometimes the pp lasts a while...sometimes goes down right away. Not worth the risk of having your money potentially HELD at any time for 180 days.

Go stealth and link free. Dont live with the risk of blocking

If that ebay staffer put that in writing, a remote chance of it being fact.

Our tests show it to be bull dust.

Go stealth.

You can use a different method of payment processing that is acceptable such as Skrill (aka Moneybookers) or Paymate or so.

Some people have used a new pp just for buying...still not recommended but there are some reports.

Do you never learn? There is no such thing as Skrilla but there is such a thing called Skrill.

Really Elijah - typos happen - and you focus on the letter `a'...wow - so I got caught up with the acronym for money (aka Skrilla) - my bad.

No reason to be typing `Do you never learn` - so cynical. Losing focus on the idea that other acceptable payment ways exist...buyers will likely have some resistance but it`s an idea.

You constantly write it, so much so that it seems a conscious effort rather than a typo. I've never seen you write the proper name Skrill ever in fact, always seems to be Skrilla. And I've pointed it out to you many times in the past but you still write it every time... and the A does make a big difference since nobody would ever find Skrill the payment processor if they just searched Skrilla like your posts say.

Hmm will look back - I havent gone back to old posts a lot but it is possible for this typo to occur since `Skrilla`is slang for money and 'Skrill' is Moneybookers - guess will stick to Moneybookers to avoid the potential typo then. I dont go back to old posts a lot so didnt notice if true then.

Time to put it aside and concentrate of opening several stealth accounts spreading sales etc.

rsot,

Problem with slang terms is that not all users would have a clue what you are talking about.

Why bother with moneybookers when the company had a name change quite some time ago. Company is now Skrill.

We often make comments to the newcomers to use SEARCH correctly.

Maybe be proactive with the correct term to help them learn.....

just a thought

:peace:

Problem identified - moving forward to Skrill use.

Ontopic: ebay personel often tell people the things they wanna hear (true story)
Sometimes they can Link you faster this way and sometimes they had a ruff day after people attack them with not so kind words , what we can learn from this is that you as a seller will be alot happier if you stay "better safe than sorry" and use stealth more and more.

Cheers and good luck
