PayPal Limited Question

Hey Everyone!

I recently withdrew from one of my stealth PayPal accounts. I withdrew around $2000 leaving my account with around $300 in it.

The account is nearly 4 months old and has never had any disputes/claims.

A few hours after the bank transfer went from pending to complete my account was limited asking me for proof of address, invoices, ID, the normal stuff.

I know the account is pretty much a lost cause at this point, which is fine because I have other stealth accounts. My concern is that I don't know if PayPal will reverse the completed transaction as it has not gone into my bank account yet.

I have heard yes and no.

I would much rather lose $300 then lose $2300 if you know what I mean haha.

Any insight would be appreciated. Also anyone have an idea why they would limit the account that quickly? All my other accounts are doing fine and have never had a problem so I am sure nothing is linking.

Thanks

I can give you 1999 reasons why you got such a quick reaction from paypal.

Your account is too new, to unknown to them. And the amount of $2000 scared them. Hence they limited you ( to protect themselves). they will do that anytime the account gets flagged.

This will happen with future accounts as well.

Are you not going to supply the info required?

:spy:

No, I am not able to do so.

Yeah, $2000 is a huge amount for a 4month old account.

Account is toast unless you become creative.

If you want to play it safe, id advise to close that bank account after withdrawing the 2000$

2000 would take it down quickly.

That is way too much money to even try and withdraw on an account that is only 4 months old.

I never let any newer pp like that get 2000 in it myself.

Now it is April 17th OP - has the money hit your bank account yet?

Claise 04-17-2013 04:41 PM

Yes, and the account has been reinstated! Woot!

which is why I go against the grain and leave money in my paypal accounts. Some of you will think I'm crazy, but I alway's keep at least $500 in my paypal accounts, over 100 stealth accounts, that's a lot of money, but for me it's the price of doing business.

Paypal loves money and hates risk. The more money you leave in your account, the less risk they have. Also, the more money in your account, the more interest paypal is making off of it.

I've done it this way for several years and in my experience, when I withdraw the money quickly, I have gotten limitations just like yours.

For an instance where I have 2000 in the account, I would probably withdraw 500 one week, 500 a week later, and probably 300 a week after that. Leave about 700 in it and everyone's happy.

It really depends on your financial situation. You have to be in a situation where you can be without the money for 180 days in the case of a limitation. Alway's plan ahead and alway's plan for the worst. If you couldn't afford to be without that money for that long, then withdraw it. If you can, then leave as much as possible in the account.

That's just my advice.

@corleone

Agreed.

Never leave a nil balance.

Leave enough funds in paypal that you can live without.

paypal prefer this.

@conan1269

Look for another payment processor is one thought.

Supply more details of your account. Age, feedback, verified & confirmed....

I tend to leave 3-5x average sale amount in the PP for safety.

Well, I got the most positive feedback, confirmed everything. However, my PP is limited right now. They asked me for the invoice and the contract retailer information. Most of order, I got from online. I can get some receipt ( 20 or 30 ), but the contact retailer is hard because I got items online. Should I do the ⊗⊗⊗⊗ one and submit it :)) ???. I can use my Text free number.

I believe you should contact a moderator or GreenBean about this as it is a sensitive matter.

I would not give eb your supplier info though, frankly I wouldn't trust giving anyone your supplier info.
