My PayPal account has been limited about 60 days ago. I've had no claims from customers or anything and I expected to get my money back in 180 days.
PayPal has sent me an e-mail that my funds are released a couple of days ago. They told me the balance could be withdrawn to my bank account.
The account was European so I called them and asked them if I could withdraw to my credit card that was attached to the account. They told me they would review it.
After a few minutes I get this e-mail:
After reviewing your PayPal account, we’ve determined there to be excessive
risk involved and would like to begin parting ways in a manner that is
least disruptive to your business.
If there are funds in your account, the remaining account balance will be
held until you complete the appeals steps. In accordance with our User
Agreement, the money in your PayPal account balance may be held until you
provide us with a valid proof of identity and a valid proof of address. The
balance is held to cover any disputes that may be filed against your
account.
Problem is I was "creative" when my account was limited and tried to restore it right away. I've sent them ID and called them. They've denied the appeal then. Now they state that the ID was invalid. I have deleted all the info of this ID.
Is my money dead in here? I can send them anything now and they might say it's invalid anyway... I thought you needn't have sent any IDs to get your money in 180 days. It seems different.
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!

Paypal and eBay does not link you by what number you called. I used to call them all the time with the same number and never had any issues with it. Your declination was caused by other factors.

that's a complete wrong, when you call paypal the automated answer will tell you I can not find the phone number that you are calling from if you are using a number not registered with paypal , or it will ask you for the PIN number if it found the number.

This was your mistake - shouldnt have called them - you should have come here and discussed. Anyhow, not ragging on you - what's done is done.
180 day wait for you unless you want to keep wasting your time trying to call and push back. Their decision is pretty final - sadly.
Yes, but my funds were available by that time. I don't think an option to withdraw to my credit card would be available after 180 days.
Still crazy how they do that.
PP can be quite crazy at times - I am sure they looked at the funds in question and just wanted to protect themselves from future possible chargebacks (even though chances were low) - it is quite the crappy decision at times.
