New PayPal account just got limited
 

Hello all I just open up a new eBay and PayPal account last week. Today I received a message from PayPal telling me that my account is limited because of an associated PayPal account with a $245 balance. PayPal actually provided me the email address of this account and it's definitely not mine. The email says that there is some Association I'm guessing it's the name I use for the address. My question is is this eBay account toast? I could always make a new PayPal account and change the name and address a little bit but when I link it to the eBay account I'm guessing it'll just get shut down. Any opinions? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

You've somehow re-used old information with your new ebay/paypal accounts. PP won't randomly link you to an email address without valid proof/reasons.

If you continue to use these accounts, you will run into issues down the road. Its best to start with new stealth accounts and do not use any of your old information.

Just start over if its new unless u have docs to prove that your not the other account ur linked to

The whole combination is toasted because of PP's association. Since the combination is SO new (only last week), avoid headaches and make new one. Perhaps you got linked with phone number depending on what service you used - 1st thought that comes to mind

All this was a new information none of it related to me whatsoever I must have came up with a name or address of the person who already had a limited PayPal account. I never use same information.

They have linked you to another account but if the email is all they have provided, it sounds like they linked you to an account that's not yours but you have to be sure.

If this is a new stealth account, might be a better idea to move on and let it go. It if was an aged account with money etc I would of fought for it.

Well jojo...you have nothing to lose to call up and try and explain...except that if you dont get good results, you will be wasting your time (logically)
