thrown off paypal

Hi, everyone, i'm new here. It's a long story, but I got kicked off paypal because of a trademark violations. My daughter made some handmade duct tape wallets, she put logos and things, anyway she listed them on my account. She has been selling them for sometime. Yesterday I got a email saying my paypal has been limited and I violated their trademark rules. What really worries me is they said I could be fined for every violations which could be 2,000. I feel sick over this and couldn't sleep all night, can anyone please tell me if they have heard of this.

Re: thrown off paypal

Welcome to the forums.

Unlikely to proceed further if sales have stopped but yes, using logos and things are always dangerous.

I doubt things will go further because you have not received REGISTERED letter or so. PP sends out e-mails like this which make things SEEM worse than they really are. It's the nature of the game.

That being said, legal concerns are beyond the scope of this forum - if your fears are not settled with my little opinion blurb, best to go find professional law help.

All the best.

Most likely nothing will happen, At this point if you have stopped selling these items you should be fine.

Is they, Paypal? Ebay? Can you post the email you got (not including personal information)?

it was paypal

Re: thrown off paypal

Yeah that's paypals standard "We don't want your Business anymore" email. Effective the date you got it, in 180 days you will get your funds...assuming none of your previous customers file for a chargeback.

If this was your real Paypal it's a goner along with your eBay account. I would recommend you begin making new account(s).

Re: thrown off paypal

Thanks everyone for your replies. I had my own ebay account, I created another one for my daughter so she could have her own, I used the same paypal address on hers. I got a email that the one I made for her to use was suspended, then I got the email that said I was thrown off paypal. My first account Is still in good standing, but I can't use it now because I don't have paypal any more.
