Problem with paypal. What will happen

Hi All

i have a prob with paypal who decided to limit my account after i sold a few expencive thing, sent the items un recorded and withdrew the cash and spent it.
i sold 5 items and sent them unrecorded to save on postage but the skanky ppl i sent them to decided to put a complaint in through paypal and get their money back as they knew i cudnt prove i had sent the item.
because i cudnt prove the items were sent paypal issued them full refunds and now it has put me in debt with paypal because i had withdrew the cash and used it for something.
What will paypal do about this as obviously they will want their money back they refunded to the buyers?

thanks

You need to sell some stuff and get your account out of the negative balance otherwise when you pay your eBay fees I think it will get took from your bank account and presuming it's a stealth account, they will then see your real info which will cause you problems,

You should allways send expensive stuff recorded otherwise it will go in the buyers favour as you don't have proof you posted it, if you still have receipt of proof of postage you may be able to claim money back from whichever postal service you used,

@Bushvar, welcome to the forums - is the account stealth or in your real name? Real name can be taken to collections...

Hi i'm not to fussed about losing my ebay or paypal account as i hardly use it anyway and my account is in my real name but shortened down and it is registered to an old address.

when u say collection do u mean collection angencys? i'm not really bothered about that all im bothered about is if they will get the police involved as this is the 1st time something like this has happened to me so not sure how paypal work to recover their fees?

Also i have been to the bank and cancelled my bank account completly as i'm not willing to pay extra for some ppl skanking me off lol

thanks

Police would only get involved in cases of fraud.

PayPal will email a few times asking for their money, then phone and then send it to collection. It can eventually go to a bailiff, and not paying it can effect your credit rating.

There was no need to cancel the bank account, just the DD mandate.

Next time make sure you send it recorded. It only costs a few £ extra, and you would have avoided all of this.

if everything is stealth and no real bank account is linked, walk away from the account... screw paypal :)

I agree with James, send things recorded if they are a higher value and at least this offers you protection with PP and they accept tracking as proof you sent the item and will go more in your favour with the case raised by the customer.

I accept that its not your fault that with these scam buyers who are out there but at the same time is a rookie mistake you've made and you need to take ownership of the problem as it wont go away!

If you dont sell anything to remove the neg balance then PP will chase you for the outstanding amount and if you ignore there requests it will be collection agencies they pass it to. You say your not bothered about that but last thing you want is the agencies putting on further interest etc or even threatening in sending the bailiffs knocking on your door demanding payment or to take your stuff to sell at auction. They can if need-be involve the police/courts depending on the amount you owe and if you continuously ignore the problem and the debt gets bigger.

Take my advise, resolve this little ant hill and dont ignore it before it grown into a mountain of trouble for you.
