Limited paypal account, can't get money.

I have thirty dollars in my paypal account, I know, not that much, but it's still $30. My account is locked. I used a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name for the account. It needs me to register my SS number to unlock it. Of course mine didn't work, because the names don't match up. I don't think there's any way to change the account name. Is there anything I can do?

There are ways and means but for $30, it most definitely isn't worth it.

well, it won't let me do anything with the account. I'd have to change the name, which is impossible because there is not way to do this. If not that, then I would have to get a soical security number that matches the name in my account, which I have no idea how to obtain, and would most likely be illegal anyway. I don't think there is any way I'm getting my $30 or account back. This sucks.

I doubt if it will let you upgrade to a Business acct to use that method, since its limited,
Your options, in my opinion:
a.) Call them-explain your situation that you were a victim of identity theft, and you do not feel comfortable giving your ssn out.
b.) try to see if the limited acct will allow you to upgrade to a business premiere acct-then add a tax id (Ive never done this--so i doubt it will work??)
c.) wait it out--the 180 days--then you can tell them where you want the check sent.
(I just recd a check a couple weeks ago from a limited acct)
d.)any chance to refund any buyers-then have them send you a money order directly??

Can I get the money after 180 days? I didn't know this. If so, that's great because as long as the money isn't lost forever, that's fine. Will I be able to get a check after 3 months?

Yes you will.
But I feel like crying...why in the hell we have to pray them, beg them, call them so they can give US OUR money!

OH well that's good. I kinda like it when you forget about money, it's like:

"Man If I only had $30........Oh wait, that paypal account!"

Its actually 6 months later when paypal releases your money. Paypal refunded my money back to my bank that was on file with them after the 6 months was up.

I had 2 PP accounts on the 6 month lock-down. 1 Was released 5 days ago.
I transfered the money into my WAMU account with no problems.
My other account that is on lock-down will be open in 28 days.
When that one opens I will transfer that money to my WAMU.
Then just send the money where ever I want to and close those WAMU accounts.

They do release your money after the 6 month lock-down.
