Linking ebay and Paypal
 

If you never link your ebay account to Paypal, how will ebay find out? I have a paypal account that is not suspended by my ebay account is. They were never linked. If I create a new ebay account with all new info and don't link Paypal, will that be ok?

I was told NEVER link your ebay and Paypal accounts. If your ebay account gets suspended, so will your Paypal account.

I have a suspended ebay account (never linked my ebay and Paypal accounts) and my Paypal account is fine.

If you transferred monies from your ebay account to your paypal account, you made a link in any case.

paypal already know about that ebay account. ebay know about that paypal.

This paypal can never be used on ebay again.

You will need to start with everything new for both paypal and ebay.

If you entered your PayPal into the eBay auction listing as a payment method then you are linked.

You shouldnt use your old PP with a new eB account - just go all new.

Does this apply the other way around?

I.e good eBay account, 100% feedback- limited PayPal account.

Safe to link new PayPal account to old, good, eBay?

Same way yes.

Ebay and paypal are the same company.

Info is shared between both parties.

Worse, and this is something to know now. Changing info like names, addresses etc, still leaves that old info available for ebay/paypal to see.

This is why we always suggest avoiding linking with info.
