PayPal limited Fund Hold Period
 

I just had my account permanently limited with funds held, I received a email stating


We have recently reviewed your PayPal account activity, and determined
that you are in violation of PayPal's Acceptable Use Policy regarding your
sales / offers on ebay.com , user ID: -------.

As a result, your account has been permanently limited and this cannot be
appealed.

Per the PayPal User Agreement, which you read and accepted when you created
your account, we reserve the right to permanently limit an account due to
an Acceptable Use Policy violation. We may hold any available balance in
your PayPal account for up to 180 days. In addition, you may be liable for
any amount of damages PayPal incurs for each violation of the Acceptable
Use Policy.

2 days later I receive another email stating that it has been limited and this time they will hold funds for 45 days in case of any chargebacks, reversals, or claims filed against you during this period and will email after 45 days when I can withdrawal

When I long into Paypal I see this with 2 different case id's

Your account access has been limited for the following reason(s):

Mar 27, 2014: We noticed one or more of the following problems:
You provided information that we believe was false, inaccurate, or misleading; or
You sent or received money that was potentially related to fraudulent activity; or
You have more than one account with a negative balance; or
You are in violation of the User Agreement, the Commercial Entity Agreement, the Acceptable Use Policy, or another agreement you have with PayPal.
Our decision was based on terms outlined in these agreements.

Because of this, we've limited your accounts and can no longer offer our services to you. You'll still be able to log in to view your transaction history, but you won't be able to send or receive money.

Mar 25, 2014: When you signed up for your PayPal account, you agreed to our User Agreement and Acceptable Use Policy. Because some of your recent transactions violated this policy, we've had to permanently limit your account.

Please remove any references to PayPal from your website.

You'll be able to withdraw any money in your account 180 days after your last transaction. We'll email you when it's ready to be withdrawn.

So my question is does the 180 days start counting down from Mar 25th? or do I have to wait this 45 days and then possibly them saying I have to wait an additional 180 days?

I would call them to see which is accurate.. Maybe they can also clarify which reason your account was actually shut down for. Sorry this happened to you :(

Full 180 days after the limitation was placed.

They will also send a check out in the name of the account owner / business only. In my experience, they don't seem to allow bank withdrawls anymore.
