Paypal limited for careless error; Ebay account NOT limited
Both the PP and EB are quite aged, with hundreds of sales and incoming funds to the PP, but I made a careless & stupid error.
I forgot my pw to the Paypal and since I was away from home on a remote IP, I tried to simply reset it by having PP email me at the registered email address. This seemed to trigger a red flag because 5 min. later PP emails with a "we noticed unusual activity..." email.
Now I have to submit either a Photo ID or Proof Of Address (this must be an electricity bill copy). One slight problem that might alarm the PP manual review person is that the name registered is not a real person and the address entered in PP is not a valid address in the USPS postal system (I bought the EB/PP from one of the bigger sellers on this forum ...) Please help as I definitely want to keep this account.
Option 1) submit the Photo ID
Option 2) try to by-pass the PP limitation, make a new PP and link it to the EB that is okay? Will this work?
