Paypal wont give me my money after 6months!
 

Ok mid last year my paypal account with limited and i got the indefinite notice that it will be not restored. I had $600 in that account. Time went on and i totally forgot about that account, until this year June when i was going through old email addresses looking for ebay accounts. It had the "Funds eligible for withdrawal" email. So i contacted paypal immediately and had them send the cheque which they did ...supposedly. Weeks and months went by still no cheque, i have moved to a new address but im cool with my old landlord so he forwards me mail. I tried to log onto my account and noticed it was locked and the only thing i would do send a message to appeal@paypal.com. So i called paypal but they wouldnt discuss anything about the account because i dont remember for the life of me the info that was on the account because that was a while ago and they wont let me access it. They havent responded to my email..its been a week. So im not sure what to do any ideas?

Try to remember all account details that you may have used in the past and call back with that information. The worst they can do is deny you access again. If they do then just repeat the process and call back with different information.
Just because 6 months past doesn't mean they issue the check out right away. It may take longer just to prepare the check for the mail. Maybe the current tenant at your old place received your paypal check. You said you didn't remember the details. So what if your landlord did receive a piece of mail and see a different name on the envelope and didn't give it to you because it did not match yours. Does he forward all the mail or just the ones with your name. That might be a good start to ask your landlord or current tenant.

If all else fails then I suggest you PM Modee for some help. I'm sure he has something up his sleeve to remedy this situation.

its a good idea to file all your ebay and paypal account information so that you have it in case something like this happens.

Anyway, Will PP verify whether or not the check sent to you was cashed? On the off chance that your ex-landlord kept it for themselves, you know.

Thank you asking for pointing out the obvious. This happened over a year ago when things werent as crazy as it is now and ...now i keep spreadsheets of everything as well as Ip logs. But again, thanks for pointing that out.

This was my actual account with real info. I dont remember the phone# that was bogus and the bank account on file has been deleted, however i think my bank would keep a record of closed accounts so im going to there and find out.

Ok so they finally responded to my email and unlocked my account (its still limited). I dont get the point in locking it in the first place. Maybe they lock accounts that have been inactive for a long time? I dont know...anyways...the funds were still there sitting in the account i guess they never got around to sending the cheque. I wont be requesting a cheque again, that takes way to long. I guess every thing worked out for the best because the extra funds came at a perfect time.
