I have 1 paypal thailand limit, I need to creat the bank as tourists. what bank name i can open, who can help me?

Yo can only open an account in person and you need a visa to do so. Some banks allow tourist visas but that's very hit and miss, most ask for a 12 month visa and/or work permit.

Kasikorn are the easiest but you'll need a tourist visa at least.

If they have a tourist visa they will get an account, but depends on the bank employee really. If one bank refuses just go to another but kasikorn (the green one ) is the easiest. Plus with kasikorn you can get a shopping card, vcc.

Out of curiosity, how long do you have to be in the country for? I know someone who regularly visits Thailand and spends about 2 weeks there every time. Would that be sufficient?

It doesn't matter the amount of time they need to see a visa, visa on arrival will not do.

Some banks may take tourist visa but they are getting hard to find. I had a tourist whilst I between visas last year and I got an account with that but I was very forceful and spoke some Thai with them I also have a history of 12 month visas in my passport.

They Really want to see a 12 month visa, non-o, non-b or a work permit.

Updates here: Just opened a new account at Kasikorn.
They asked: What? now work permit?
Ah.. I have a thai driving license tough.
Ok that will do as well.
So in my experience. Have a driving license or yellow book house registration and any bank open you an account. (Non Immigrant Visa must have too)
This new ATM card you can apply for Shopping and use as Credit Card for verification process.

I am not sure if you can use use mis-matched names on the debit card once you have activated it for online shopping BUT as you know debit cards don't have your name on.

TIP:
When opening a bank account ask for two accounts for security. One for the ATM card and one to hold the funds, so you can transfer to the ATM account when needed.
Its an easy way to open two accounts at once, just use internet banking to transfer the funds from one account to the other.
They won't refuse you two account, as you know, ATM fraud is rife here at the moment.
