Ebay Link with eBay Gift Cards or eBay e-Gift Certificates?

Has anyone been "linked" after receiving an eBay Gift Certificate paid from a LIMITED Paypal account in the past or something of the sort?

Apparently, you can pay using your Paypal balance for these vouchers and give them to a friend. I doubt it's possible just because it's unfair assumption, but I'm curious..

Unfortunately, the person who received it doesn't know..
