Limited due to card?
 

Your account access has been limited for the following reason(s):

Your card issuer let us know that there is an issue with the debit or credit card linked to your PayPal account. It may have been reported lost or stolen.

Please contact your credit card company for more information.

I usually add a vcc and leave the account without making any transactions and suddenly it's limited for this reason. Is paypal checking debit cards all of a sudden? Probably charging the card?

Also, I can't log into certain parts of the account with the new design on a limited account. Anybody else has this issue also?

this is what you do. step 1 go buy a vanilla visa gift card. step 2 please match the vanilla visa gift card with your paypal zip-code if your paypal zip-code is 12345 make the vanilla visa gift card zip-code 12345. you can buy these at cvs for 25 50 100. i buy the 25.00 and it works great make sure when you buy the vanilla visa gift card it just say vanilla visa gift card it will have a logo of an ice-cream con on it. it will also have a gift box image on it here is a pic of one. go to there web site a active the card with that same zip-code as your paypal acc other wise it will not work

I make my own vcc, why would I need to go with vanilla. Other people with vanilla have had the same problem always. Just wanted to know what other people think the issue is?

Ive had this issue with a bank account but I've never had it with a VCC.

The VCC may have been blacklisted.
If its from metabank, then its highly likely it was banned due to that.

I don't think PayPal checks credit cards. The card that is attached to my legit PayPal was canceled a few months ago but it expires in 3 years from now.

My account has no limits at all. All payments are released instantly.

So many questions that remain answered for good analysis. Did you have a balance on the card? How much?

What were you trying to do with the account before it got limited?

They can actually check very easily with a test charge...even 1 cent would do it

This has happen to a few accounts of mine. I got the your account is limited due to unusual activity linked to your credit card. I used gift card after 1 year they eat up balance and close card. This happened right after withdrawal. So I think with all the changes yes they are running checks on the cards. Might not happen to everybody as they slowly roll it out.

I always just leave the cards alone after I confirm them. It's only $25 so why drain it and risk them running a pre-auth charge for $1. Isn't your stealth account worth more than $25?

I leave between $5-10 on each of my gift cards and just thrown them in a storage bin, and write the ebay name on them in felt pen.
