PayPal demanding all new accts need cc verified right away?
 

Ok, I just bank verified a new PayPal acct and normally for like the past year, I don't get my limits lifted until I have to. But now pp is asking me to put in a credit card. Is this new?

In what way, do u have aa screenshot we can see.

Normally towards the upper right there we always a number where settings are telling you to add a credit card, bank account, phone number , email, etc..

So it was. Always there

Well there's a rectangle bar in the center top of the screen asking me to lift my limits. It's not a big deal, I just bought some gc and had the 1.95 charge. I normally don't lift limits right away because like the forum said, appear new and inexperienced, so it's like what is a new user doing needing to withdraw more than 500 dlars right away?

But this time, I just verified a new acct and it's asking me to lift limits right away. I didn't even activate seller account on eBay yet, and it's asking me to lift limits? Lol. It must be a glitch from PayPal to their new layout.

This was right after I set up a brand new account, and I noticed it's happening to others. So this means I can't even receive funds without adding a card? Therefore, adding a bank? Hmmm..

EDIT: I think you can still receive funds just fine (just got a payment this evening).. It's just for all further purposes, this is a notification to remind you to add everything down the line so there isn't any confusion.

Also, if you guys are having trouble reaching the sending limits page and don't want to add a bank account first.. Keep these in mind:

Still working for me. I think adding a bank account to even get to those pages is kinda trashy of them..

Saying the same thing for me. I didn't gave a debit card connected. Did paypal still my money or is this just a new mandatory procedure?. This is strange because my limit still have $500 left.

Yes, it is strange. I just started a new acct and it's basically asking me to lift my limits because i used it all up. I didn't even convert my eBay acct to seller acct yet lol

That step - even though asked - is not mandatory to work with PP - it's just a notification message as I read it

So right now they're guiding you to lift the 500 dollar withdraw limit right away, kind of like how Facebook guides all it's users to have they're profile public by making it default the first time. Interesting.

On some of my accounts, as soon as you confirm a bank, all sending limits and withdraw limits are removed (as oppose to the sending limit being separate). No more $1.95 charges?

Funky thing is that the red notice is still displayed. Even though your limits are removed, even after you confirmed a bank and card. Weird stuff.

Its a glitch in their system.
