Paypal Limited Asking For the Impossible...
 

Paypal account has a 21 day hold, about $900 in the account.

Limited and asking for:

1. Supplier Info - can be sorted
2. Receipts, proof I have the product - Can do
3. Credit card statement showing the FULL number and name
4. Details on 8 past sales. - can do

Account went through a bad patch last month and became below standard which is why it has a 21 day hold.

Number 3 is the problem, I can do the statement but why do they want to see the full number, the account was verified with a VCC two years ago.

Can they check the number against a name, I presume so?

ANy one els had this?

They can only check the number against the name by calling the bank. And most banks won't give that information out. That is probably why they are asking for the statement. eBay already knows who the credit card issuer is - the first five digits (or is it 6? I can't recall offhand) identify the issuing bank. So, if they wanted to call them, they could have done so.

I would provide the other information and conveniently "forget" the credit card statement. If they questioned me again, I would say I couldn't find it but I should have my new statement is a few days to a week or so (since they are mailed monthly). Them, I would use the time to find a creative solution to the problem.

I can't forget the credit card as there are 4 separate upload buttons for each item

The card was Entropay, I can't use an Entropay statement?
I have a visa card statement but obviously a bank in Thailand, the only thing I thought of was putting the entropay number on that statement and blocking the first 4 digits out but feel unsure to do that as they have specifically asked to see the full number

Do you still have access to the entropy statement? Because you could always get creative with that?

They know the card used was Entropay so don't get cute and upload something different.

Entropay does not produce a statement as such but you can create and upload screenshots of the account.

These screenshots are accepted by Paypal with mixed results. Does the account have a bank account attached? They can usually be persuaded to taking a bank statement as an alternative.
