When Does "Payment Reversed" Happen?
 

Account was limited shortly thereafter with Photo ID, Credit Card Statement, Proof of Address, Provide More Information About Payments, and Confirm Identity requests. Disabled from sending refunds. Never got this notice before but it just popped up to my surprise. What causes this? My hunch has something to do with the IP, but I'm not sure.. The confirmed address on the card with the payment is the confirmed address, and it seems they didn't bother a smaller payment.

Logged in from the same cookies / same user account. Dunno why all of a sudden I got one of these reversals. Can Paypal link you on just IP alone (maybe I stepped on a bad IP)?

Can happen, yes.

Not usual. But I am aware of this occurring.

Is the receiving party OK?

If they link you, they can reverse all payments between your accounts if they want.

I've come to the conclusion they probably just linked on IP alone. Nothing in my records, so it must've been someone else..

The order is apparently still in Paid status (even though it has been reversed by Paypal). I've sent them a message in order to sort it out. I've had a ton of orders with this particular vendor (over 20), so I'm sure it will be fine.

The amount isn't really that significant. Above $500 though. I processed another transaction normally today for much higher. I just remembered another funny thing, the one that had gotten limited was querying me for capchas every time I got a new page from Paypal. I never saw that page before for the captcha request (looked like an older page), but I thought that was weird.
