Paypal banned!! Help appreciated!!
Hello all, new here and have a question. I have been on ebay and Paypal for almost 4 years, always as a buyer with over 200 successful purchases until about 6 months ago I sold 5 small items with no problems at all. About a month ago I sold a item for $10 bucks, I shipped the item and buyer left positive feedback then boom I'm banned from Paypal and the only reason paypal would give me is that they linked my account with someone who has the same name as me over a 100 miles away!! They said I can not appeal and that I'm out the $10 dollars..I asked if this other person used my SS number, bank account or my I.D because I was worried that this was identity theft, Paypal said no they used none of that I'm banned because of my name only.. I tried in several phone calls to paypal and told them my name is very common and that if they Googled my name they'd see that there is hundreds of people in the USA and over 20 in my state alone with the same name..They said sorry but you're banned because of name!!! I realize its only $ 10 bucks but its the principal that they are stealing my money and I'm out the shipped item plus the shipping costs!! WTH????? |
