Account limited within seconds after registered
 

With a new IP + new address + new user account for the macbook, I went ahead and tried to open a new stealth account.

1. Used a new address
2. New bank account number

But then my account got LIMITED right away... they are asking for some type of ID such as photo ID or proof of address.

My question is, could the bank be the reason that caused this limitation? I tried to link my Ally bank with this account but it gave me an error similar to this "an error had occurred, please try again later". I also altered my name on paypal as well. Could it be the reason that the name from my Ally bank is slightly different from my PP name and triggered the system?

Ally is not a good bank for stealth. What do you mean when you said you altered the name on your PayPal? And how unique is your name? Is it something like "John Smith" or more like "Vandenhelm Flugelheimer"?

John Smith (bank name ) vs Jon Smith (PP name)...hmh followed the stealth guide and used ALLY as suggested. Guess I might have to get rid of my ally account soon.

Ally was good for stealth at one time, but they are no longer a good bank for us. The forums help us keep up to date. You must have got the guide a while ago???

So, you didn't actually change anything in PayPal, you just used a slightly different name than was on the account at Ally?

everything I used on paypal was new so that it doesn't link to any of my other accounts. the only thing that could have triggered this was the minor changes of my name for PP and the bank. I have done this before with different banks and they all went through just fine so I didn't expect them to be able to see my bank account name. thank you for the updates.

What is the source of your IP? Provider...VPN....public wifi....?

My account got limited before even I had the chance to open an ebay account so that wasn't the problem. I am using comcast and I change my IP for every user using the mac clone method. So far, 2 of my accounts are running fine. I do keep track of everything...but as of right now, I can guaranteed that it was the bank that triggered the system... the name I had on PP did not match to what I have with Ally Bank...maybe PP can actually see your name on the bank account that you are linking to their system :suspicious:
